FOOMA Japan 2017

Come visit us at FOOMA 2017 where TOMRA Sorting Food will showcase a variety of sorting and peeling solutions.

13 - 15 June 2017

TOMRA Sorting Food will be present at FOOMA 2017, the international food machinery and technology exhibition in Japan, June 13 - 16.

Processors and packers who visit TOMRA at booth 6B-23 in hall 6 will be able to discover more about the company’s sorting and peeling solutions.

TOMRA will showcase the TOMRA 5B sorting machine, which guarantees optimal sorting of your food products, from vegetables and potatoes to leafy products. It helps you to meet the highest standards for both food safety and quality due to the user-friendly design, excellent performance and state-of-the-art hygiene features that comply with the latest standards.

The sorting machine’s new customized high-speed, small-pitch TOMRA ejector valves allow for the precise removal of defective products, with minimal final product waste, at a rate three times faster than previous valves. Importantly, the valves have been designed for both wet and dry conditions.

The machine has an easy-to-use, intuitive user interface called TOMRA ACT. This has been specifically designed to be user-oriented and generate on-screen performance feedback on production quality and safety. The settings and data are application driven, providing processors with an easy way to set the machine and peace of mind by delivering clear data on the sorting process. This in turn allows the further optimization of other processes in the plant.

TOMRA will also display peeling equipment. Steam peeling is the most efficient method of removing skin from potatoes, vegetables and fruit. Lines processing between 1,000 kg/hr - 50,000 kg/hr can benefit from TOMRA’s steam peeling equipment, resulting in significant savings of raw material and energy.

TOMRA has been designing and supplying superior potato and root vegetable peeling machines for over 40 years. The focus has been on continuously improving efficiency, yield and quality of the steam peeling process, while reducing peel loss.
